Update: problems with emailed orders

Yesterday we advised that we were aware of an issue affecting some emailed orders.

Having investigated we believe that the issue is with the receiving of the emails. All orders are being sent successfully by IndiCater and the majority of orders are being received by suppliers and the orderers. Some however are being rejected by the receivers' email filters which are incorrectly identifying the orders as spam or a virus.

We have communicated via email with all non EDI suppliers (EDI is unaffected) and have asked those experiencing issues to provide us with information about why our emails are being rejected by their email servers to help us build up more knowledge about what is happening and to identify any patterns, for example with shared security systems.

Please know that we have not released any recent code changes to the order PDF or to the email and we can see from our logs that the emails are being sent without issue and are mostly being received without issue.

All suppliers have the ability to download orders into csv or excel in the supplier Portal as a backup and we have advised suppliers of this.

We will continue to advise of updates.
