Adding an outlet abbreviation

Introduction

An outlet abbreviation is used as the prefix for invoice numbers generated in credit sales, internal sales and client invoicing

Assumptions

You are using one of more of the invoice types; credit sales, internal sales and client invoicing

Where to find this

Outlets > Set Up > Edit Outlet

Step-by-Step guide

 

  1. Click on the relevant outlet
  2. Click on the Change Abbreviation heading in red
  3. Enter your outlet abbreviation. This can be whatever you want and will appear as the prefix in your auto generated invoice numbers
  4. Add a start date if replacing an old abbreviation with a new one
  5. Click update
