Managing Income Categories

  • Income categories can be managed from Head Office or from within each outlet
  • They are specific to each outlet
  • Income categories determine the options available to the user when recording income transactions in the finance module


To Manage in Head Office mode

  • Log into Head Office – Outlets – Set Up

Adding a Department

  • Within Income Categories and Departments, click on Add Departments to ensure there is at least one department set up for each Outlet

Adding a Category

  • Once the Department has been set up, click on Add Categories to add a new category to an outlet
  • Fill in the Category Name and select a Department and KPI Category
  • Tick Applicable to VAT if required
  • Select a VAT Rate
  • Add any Finance Codes required
  • If the Income category is to be used to record complimentary sales, add a tick in the Complimentary/Discount box
  • If the Income category is to be used to record Service Charges, add a tick in the box
  • If the income category is to be used to record Credit Card Tips, add a tick in the box
  • Tick whether you wish for this Income Category to be available as an option within Cash Sales and Swipe Cards, Internal Sales and/or Credit Sales
  • Click Add Category

Editing a Category

  • To edit an existing Category, click Edit Categories and select the correct Outlet and Department
  • Make the required amendments and click Update Category


To Manage in Outlet mode

  • Log into Outlet – Finance – Set Up

Adding a Department

  • Click Add Departments and enter the Department name and finance ode

  • Click Add Category
  • Fill in the Category Name and select a Department and KPI Category
  • Tick Applicable to VAT if required
  • Add any Finance Codes required

  • Click Add Category

Editing a Category

  • Click on Category name
  • Make the required amendments and click Update Category
