Add Detailed Transfer

Here you can transfer items from a catalogue to either another area in your outlet or to another outlet.

Date: This will default to today but can be amended if necessary

Stock location: This is the stock location that your item is currently set up in in your outlet

Category: This is the purchasing category that you want the transfer to be coded from, eg if you are transferring beer from the bar to the kitchen to be used in batter, you will want to select Drink/Wet/Liquor etc. as your purchasing category here as the transfer is being made from that category

Outlet: Select the outlet you are transferring to. This could be your own, eg the beer going from the bar to the kitchen, or this could be another outlet

Outlet Stock Location: This is the stock location at the outlet you are transferring to. You may not always know this so use the purchasing category at the end of the name to help you make the decision. For example you may see General (the name of the department): Dry Stores (the name of the stock location): Food (the name of the purchasing category). If you are transferring a food item, this stock location would be a safe bet. If you are transferring water to housekeeping, you may want to transfer to a location with the housekeeping category at the end

Event: Add an event number if required

Notes: Add notes if required.

How do I know where my product is?

There is a Filter Stock Locations by Product button on the top right of the page. By searching for your item in here, you can limit the stock locations shown in the drop down to just those containing the item. For example, by searching for Amstel, my options in the stock location drop downs are now limited to 1 making my selection much easier.  This will also reduce the stock locations in the list you are transferring to, as long as the item is in one of their stock locations.  To clear a filter, click on the filter button and click Clear All.

Adding quantities

Once you have selected the stock locations, you will see the items together with quantity fields for case, pack and individual items, the same as when you complete a stocktake. Add the quantities and click Add Items. The item will be added at the bottom of the page.

Amend the quantities by clicking on the item name or remove by using the red cross.

Complete the transfer by clicking on Add Transfer

The transfer will be displayed on the Weekly Stock Transfers Summary

The transfer will also be displayed on the receiving outlets Today page notifying them it has been done.
