Label Library
The Label Maker tool enables you to create a dish label selecting the specific criteria you require.
Style - currently in development, in this section you will be able to select from different templates that you can create and manage.
Size of Label - we currently have the option for you to create a custom sized label which will adjust depending on the information you want to include as well as a standard 4, 6 and 8 per page. if you have specific requirements please contact us to discuss.
Options
Yellow warning box! - this shows that the ingredients option on the label has been disabled. There are 2 reasons for this
- your dish contains items which there are no stored ingredients for. To add ingredient data, contact IndiCater to discuss the project. In time your suppliers will be able to upload their ingredient data but we can help with that in the short term whilst this development is being completed.
- your dish contains items which do not have a weight. The ingredients need to be listed in descending weight order on labels and so we therefore need to calculate the weight of the dish and the weight of each item in the dish to be able to sort them correctly. To do this we need to ensure that all items in your dish have a weight. This can be done in the nutrition section of the recipe. If an item such an egg is missing a weight, you will see the word Weight on the right of the nutrition box. Add the weight of the item in the dish and save.
DishÂ
You can tick and untick the options listed under Dish and use the drop down option to select whether the text should be simple, header size or bold.
The Brand Logo is the logo you have in IndiCater.
Ingredient Settings
In this section you can:
- change the name of an item, for example change Hovis granary bread to just say granary bread so that the name Hovis doesn't appear in your list of ingredients (the item name will only appear if it contains multiple ingredients). To do this simply change the data in the Label name field. This doesn't amend how your item appears in the recipe or in any other part of the application.
- you can tick to include the QUID percentage in your label. This is the % of that item in your dish by weight. See the gov.uk website for more info about QUIDÂ https://www.gov.uk/guidance/food-labelling-giving-food-information-to-consumers#give-a-quantitative-ingredients-declaration-quid
- you can exclude the item from the label, eg a set of plastic cutlery that is given away with the dish.
- you can choose to set these options to apply to all recipes, for example change the name of the bread to affect all of your sandwich labels.
There will be a new rule added soon to prevent you from excluding an item if it contains allergens.
