ASP-Building a Recipe-Head Office
Introduction
This guide explains how to build recipes, adding ingredients from within the Head Office. The user can delete recipes they created.( See related summary on Recipe Manager - a summary of the different versions)
Assumptions
That categories have been setup. When building a new recipe you will be prompted to associate it with a category to help filter and organise the various dishes,
For example a categories can be breakfast, brunch, lunch, snacks, desserts, dinner, buffets and so on. If you are creating a breakfast bap you would put it under breakfast as it most appropriate in that category.
In Head Office managed version of Recipe Manager the user can create recipes that are ca be viewed but cannot be amended in outlets.
Where to find this
Click RECIPE MANAGER > DISHES
Step-by-step guide
Step 1. Click add
Category: Select from the drop down menu an appropriate category.
Sub Category:
Dish Name: Enter what you are going to call the dish. for example Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Roll
Reference: Enter the reference you want to use for the dish, use something unique to the dish BLTR
Outlet Brand : From the dropdown pick an outlet brand you want the recipe to be associated with, outlet brand can be setup to contain a group of outlets.
For example a Contract Caterer can use brands to separate between primary schools and secondary schools. By allocating the dish to an outlet brand you make it available for the schools in that particular brand.
Portions: Enter portion number
Sale price: Add selling price, also select whether gross or net price.
Click ADD DISH
Step 2. Add Ingredients
Click on BUILD RECIPE
Combo Dishes: The combo dishes dropdown allows you to use a previously created combo dish(See Related Guide on Using Combo Ingredients.)
Favourite Items : Select from a list of favourite items, (See Related Guide on Building a Favourite Products List)
Select Supplier: From the drop menu select a supplier for ingredient.
Select Category:
Find Product: Use search box to find required ingredient from supplier and Click Find
Click on the product you require at the bottom of the page to select it.
Continue to pick all the ingredients in this way until you have on the top of the page all your ingredients for that dish/recipe.
Once all the ingredients have been selected
Step 3. Click CONTINUE on the top right f the screen to select quantities
Enter the amount of each ingredient you want in the recipe. You can change the unit of measurement from the default set in supplier catalogue.
For example the bacon can be in KG in the supplier catalogue however you can change it to grams to reflect in the recipe better 50g of bacon in a bap.
To change the unit of measurement to suit , Click Use Alternative Packsizes on the top right of the screen,
For example you can choose to have slices instead of KG for your bacon and update your packs and items per pack and update.
You will be shown the recipe configuration page.
Step 4. Add Recipe Photographs, the accepted formats are JPG and GIF
Enter up to 4 pictures when you click to upload image ,load any saved images for recipe from the computer.
Click UPLOAD
