asp Setting up Stock Locations (stock and order sheets)

Introduction

This guide explains how to create a stock location. Stock locations are used as the lists for ordering and stock taking. 

You may choose to have the same lists for both recording your stock and creating your orders or you may wish to set up different lists. This can be different per outlet.

Assumptions

Your departments have been setup in Head Office set up.

Where to find this

In the outlet, click Stocktaking > Setup

Step-by-Step guide

Once in Set Up, follow the below steps.

Step 1. Select a Department and Click CONTINUE.


 


Step 2. To create a new stock location click on the + New Location on the right.

 

Step 3. Name your stock location and use the tick boxes to select whether your stock location should be used for stock taking and/or ordering. Click Save Location on the right.

Please talk to your account manager if you want to use Line Checks.


Step 4. Now select the purchasing category from the drop down list that the items in your stock location need to Choose the Category -Select the correct category from the category drop down.

Please ensure that you select the correct purchasing category as this will define where the costs fall on the trading report.

If you are creating a stock sheet for Food make sure that you are not including disposable items on the stocktake.


Step 5. Once you have selected a category the Items button will appear. 

Click Items


Step 6. The following page will show a list of suppliers on the left of the page, choose the supplier, click on the arrow to see the list of products.

You can also search for supplier in the search box at the top of the screen.

6.1 To choose an item to add to your list, simply click on it. It will then appear in the list on the right of the page

To remove it, click on it in the list on the right. You won't be able to remove it if you have recorded stock against the item.


Step 7. Continue this process until you have all the items needed for the stock sheet


Step 8. Items in the Stock List are given a priority. To change this priority, click on the priority number and amend it.

If you change an item to priority number 1, all other items will automatically be re-numbered and move down 1 place.
