Step 1. Scroll down to the Nutrition section and you will see the list of ingredients. If an ingredient is black this denotes that it has been supplied by either Bidfood or Brakes/Woodwood and therefore the nutrion data is 'read only' i.e. it cannot be edited. All other ingredients will be red to denote that you can click on them .like the example below
Step 2. Click on the ingredient in red you want to tag nutrition for and then select FSA in the drop down list, and enter the ingredient name and select search,
Step 3. Enter the ingredient name and select search, then select Then select the ingredient that most closely matches the one in the recipe and the method of cooking. This will add the FSA designated nutrition data to that product in your recipe
Scroll down to the Nutrition section and you will see the list of ingredients
- The FSA Nutrition is a generic database also provided to use where you may not agree with nutrition information from supplier(Refer to your Company Policy on the use of FSA Nutrition Information)
- In the search box enter a brief description of the product you want to supply the nutrition data for and click on the product you want to match with.
Step 3. When you select a product from Nutrition Provider the system will advise you that the Nutrition has been updated for that product.
Repeat for each product in the dish so that the nutritional information is correct.
The Nutrition information will appear on the Recipe information page per 100g.
This information will also show n your recipe PDF Cards to show in 100g (Subject to activation as a client option, refer to your Gatekeeper for activation.)
Manually matching Nutritional Information for an ingredient.
It is also possible to enter manual nutritional information in to an ingredient via the Supplier Portal. See separate User Guide 'Adding Manual Nutritional data to a recipe'
Only portal gatekeepers have the ability to do this – if you want some information added that you don’t believe matches with either Brakes or Bidfood or the FSA, please speak to your Supplier Portal user (catalogue gatekeeper) or if this is something you have access to, please see the Supplier Portal User Guide.NOTE 1: Any ingredient that has been manually tagged with nutrition data as above will always remain red and clickable (in case you want to re tag it to another product in future). Only Bidfood and Bidvest nutrition data remains black and is not editable.
NOTE 2: The FSA data is based on the nutrition data per 100g of ingredient (just like Bidfood and Brakes). So if your ingredient pack size in the recipe is set at anything other than grams, 'weight' in red will automatically appear next to that product in the nutrition section of the recipe as below.
You will therefore need to select 'weight' and enter the required quantity of that ingredient for that recipe:
And the recipe will automatically calculate the nutrition for that quantity of ingredient
