How to Set Up Other Costs -Gatekeeper

Introduction

This guide explains how to set up the other costs in Head Office.

These are costs that have to be assigned to Outlets, for example Marketing, Management Fee and Depreciation.

Assumptions

Outlets need to be set up

Costs should not be assigned to an outlet via Head Office Other Costs if an invoice for the same cost is added in the finance module.

Where to find this

Click OUTLETS  > SETUP > MANAGE OTHER COSTS NAMES

Step-by-step guide

Step 1. Click add

Complete as below:

Other Cost Name: The name of the cost name

Type: Credit or Debit

Finance Code 1: this is an optional field to be filled in if exporting Other Costs to an accounting package

Finance Code 2: this is an optional field

VAT : Tick box if the cost has VAT

Once set up, Other Costs can be archived if required.
