Version update 1st April 2026

We’re pleased to be able to let you know about some new additions to IndiCater this week.

There are 2 small additions to Recipe Manager and a new Meal Numbers report aimed at those using Internal Sales.

New Meal Numbers report

This is a great new report for contract caterers, schools and anyone using Internal Sales.

The report is available as a new tab in the Internal Sales report in the Reporting module and shows the quantity of meals recorded together with the value for the relevant internal sales income categories.

The report does require some set up which enables you to control the categories pulled through into the report. You will now see a new option called Meal Number Category when you add or edit an income category. Ticking this will mean that the transactions recorded using these categories will be included in the report and those that aren’t ticked will be excluded.

This can be done in the Set Up, but please contact us if you would like us to help by providing you with a list you can tick and return to us. There is a one off fee of £150 for us to do this admin task on your behalf.

Menus

We have made an improvement to the printing of the Recipe Card PDF when printed for a menu. Before now, the dishes would have been sorted in the order they were added to a menu. This has been amended to now print the dishes in the same order than they appear on the page. If you use the drag and drop to change the order on the screen, this will be replicated in the order they print.

Recipe Card PDF

In the Recipe Manager Set Up page, under Dish PDF, we have added an option to enable you to control if the Recipe PDF should hide the costs. If unticked, the costs will be visible in the PDF but if you want to remove them, you can now tick this as an option.
