1.How do I This is the main landing page when using the Recipe Manager module.
You can use this page to search for existing dishes and to create new dishes.
To search for a dish? :
You can either type in a dish name or part of the dish name and click on find OR search via the category and sub category and click on filter.
Once you have searched for dish and the dish pops up, on the right hand side you will see a lolipop symbol, clicking on this will allow you to go forward and assign set prices to certain dishes and allocate dishes to locations and brands
2.How do I add a new dish? Click on add dish
On this page you can also expand the list of categories and sub categories by clicking on the toggle categories/sub categories.
If you use brands and locations you can search for dishes in these in the assigned to box
You can drill down on what allergens to include in your dish search by clicking on Excludes - select.
Also whether you want to show dishes suitable for vegans/vegetariansname in the search bar or use the filters.
If using the filters the categories and sub categories are collapsed by default, to expand them and see all options click on the Toggle link in red.
Assigned To: this field lets you limit your search to those dishes which have been assigned to a specific Brand or Outlet
Excludes: this option lets you search for dishes which exclude certain allergens
Suitable For: this option lets you search for a dish which is suitable for vegetarians/ vegans
Show Exceptions: this option lets you easily find dishes which don't have any ingredients - really useful if we integrate with your epos provider as this captures dishes created due to a sale in the epos
Archived: include archived dishes in your search
I have searched for and found my dishes, what does this view of the dish show me?
You will now see the results of your search. The page will show you the first 10 results, to see more you can either click on the next page at the bottom of the page or increase the number of results you can see by changing the 10 under the Add Dish button to 25, 50 or 100.
You can also use the additional search field to further search through your dishes, eg your initial search for 'pie' have returned 15 dishes, now type 'mash' and find the 'pie and mash' dish out of those 15.
This view of the dishes will show you the full dish name including an image if there is one, the dish reference (if linked to your epos, this will be the dishes PLU on the till), the gross sales price if entered in the dish, the sale price type (see the key above the dishes), the theoretical sales price if entered, the theoretical sales volume if entered, when the recipe was created and who by, when the last change was made and a map pin icon (that is explained below).
Map pin
Click on the map pin icon to assign the dish to a Location or a Brand. You can also set a location specific sales price here too. See Help on that page for further guidance.

How can I view the dish details?
To view the ingredients, nutrition, allergens etc, click on the dish name. See Help on that page for further guidance.
How can I edit a dish?
To edit a dish, click on the dish name. See Help on that page for further guidance. To edit the reference sales price or the theoreticals, you can click directly on the figure in red and make those changes.
Reports
Having searched for a dish or group of dishes, you have the option to report on Allergens and Nutrition, the Recipe Card and Recipe Data by selecting these at the bottom of the page.
Other reports can be found by going to Reports under the Recipe Manager module header in the menu bar on the left of the page. We are in the process of populating our new Reporting module with reports, go to Reporting, Reports, Recipes.
How do I create a new dish?
To create a new Dish. click Add Dish
Follow the Help guidelines on the next page to create your new dish.
