  • The compulsory/mandatory columns are: ProductCode, Description, Salt (the Salt value can be 0.00 but it can't be blank).
  • The following columns also need to have a value (i.e. can be 0 but cannot be blank) for the client to see any nutritional information for the product: Carbohydrates, EnergykCal, Fat, Fibre, Protein, SaturatedFat, SugarThe following columns only accept 4 decimals: Alcohol, Carbohydrates, EnergykCal, EnergykJ, Fat, Fibre, Protein, SaturatedFat, Sodium, Sugar, Salt
  • The other columns with numeric values accept 8 decimals
  • The rest of the columns are optional, fields can be left blank. The most frequently used columns have a value in all 10 example lines.
  • The example file is saved as an excel spreadsheet so that the column colours are preserved (as a help) but IndiCater can only upload files in a CSV format. If the supplier is unable to save the file as CSV, IndiCater can do it as long as there is only one sheet in the file.
  • The following columns can contain both letters and numbers: ProductCode, Description, DepartmentName, SubDepartmentName
  • All the other columns can only contain numbers (no letters, not even approx, N/A, Trace, no < or > signs) etc.
  • Please be mindful not to insert extra spaces in any of the fields as this will corrupt the upload.
  • Please don't use commas (= thousand separators) in values higher than 1000 or as a decimal separator (so 12.5 is correct, 12,5 is incorrect). Only use decimal points (if you need to):
